Wooden Field Gates

Our wooden field gates are made in a large variety of designs and materials. There are six different designs to choose from and all are 1.2m height with widths ranging from 0.9m to 3.6m in 0.3m increments. If you require a bespoke size, we can always meet your request. The three materials to choose from are:

  • Pressure treated good quality European softwood. the components are machined and treated to ensure that the joints are property preserved. Some splitting or cracks may occur in periods of hot weather.
  • Keruing is a durable industrial hardwood with a mahogany colour. For applications where a tough utilitarian hardwood is required. Some splitting or cracks may occur, especially in periods of hot weather. This however does not generally affect the strength and durability of the gate and is therefore not seen as a defect.
  • Iroko is a top quality hardwood, yellowish brown in colour and similar to teak in its texture and properties. These make superb entrance gates and are very durable. We recommend the use of Sikkens or Sadolin to preserve the colour. Iroko is the most resistant to splitting or cracking.
